Intense Bodycam Footage Shows Officer Involved Shooting of Murder Suspect Armed with a Knife

Officer Joshua Hilling from Glendale, Ohio is being praised for his incredible display of restraint when confronted by a man with a weapon.

Not only was he confronted with a weapon, the man wielding it was chasing after him, screaming at Hilling to just kill him!

Officer Hilling never expected to come across Javier Aleman during a routine traffic stop, a man wanted for a Baltimore homicide. It wasn’t until he went to pat Aleman down that the man turned around with a knife in hand, at which point the officer shot him in the gut and backed off to call for backup.

The entire time Aleman is telling the cop to shoot him, Hilling shows proper restraint and maintains his distance. He knew the man was no longer held the fearsome threat he once had. That’s exactly how an officer holding a gun needs to be – we don’t need any more trigger happy, quick squeezers.
