This Amazing Beehive From Australia Makes The Process Of Honey Harvesting So Much Easier
Some ingenious beekeepers from Australia, Stuart and Cedar Anderson, have invented a unique form of beehive technology that makes honey harvesting so much easier for the beekeeper and in turn, so much easier on the bees. You have to take a look at this beekeepers’ dream!
The innovative system works like this: bees are provided with partially-completed walls of honeycomb cells that are ‘sealed’ with bees wax. When the cells are filled with honey, the beekeeper can open the other side of the box, allowing the honey to flow out into a tap without disturbing the bees. After the honey-harvesting process is over, the bees open the cells again and fill them up with honey.
Honey bees around the world currently suffer from so-called ’colony collapse disorder’ a phenomenon that occurs when the majority of worker bees in a colony disappear for no obvious reason. Scientists and beekeepers believe that such behavior may be triggered by the constant disturbance of the colony while the honey is being harvested by the beekeeper.

Hopefully, this invention will be useful for both honey lovers and those hard workers who produce it!
