New Footage Of Bam Margera Shows His Life Spiralling Out Of Control

As a teenager, Bam Margera was constantly on my television screen. As part of the hugely successful (and crazy) Jackass team, Margera became one of the stars of the show thanks to his happy-go-lucky attitude and ability to make people laugh at the downright ludicrous.

A hugely talented pro-skater by trade, Margera was a massive star and even had his own TV shows. His spin-off from Jackass was called Viva La Bam and was a big success over the three years it ran. There was apparently no stopping the Margera fame train.

The lucrative Jackass movies further allowed Margera’s fame to skyrocket. But in 2011, it all came crashing down with the death of best friend and Jackass costar Ryan Dunn. Already a heavy drinker and substance abuser off-screen, Margera struggled with the tragic death of his closest friend.

Sadly his life is now a far cry from the days of Jackass. A new TV show which recently aired on VH1 shows the startling reality of how grief and addiction has shattered the Margera family. Remember caring mum April and jolly dad Phil? They are all part of Bam’s devastating story of self-destruction.

Though the current images of Bam are sad and shocking, it’s great to know that something is happening behind the scenes to get him back to his best. Fingers crossed he’ll be back on our screens soon causing chaos.
